Never seems to take long with a new "Flavor of the month" coordinator.

Stories focusing on the "Before and After" Offense, Miracle job with Mett, etc., will do nothing but fuel this inevitable fire.

People who ask this question lack common sense.

Please enlighten me, I've always wanted some of that, "Common Sense."

If I'm a college program I take a hard look.

Offense sells tickets and has nfl experience. Would be attractive to any recruits.

More concerned with him going back to the NFL as an OC.

Just hope he stays long enough for us to have a good offense and defense in the same season.

It was his friendship with Coach Miles that brought him here in the first place. I'm hoping he gives us 3 years before he considers the NFL again (or where ever he might want to go).

He already is a candidate for a HC job. LSU will need to pay him HC money to keep him.

His contract is structured in such a way that it would be in his best interest to stay more than one year.

He'll be the first or second highest paid OC in the country next season. I think Clemson's OC makes a little more than him

$600,000 in his first year
$1.3 million in his second year,
$1.5 million in the third year.

At his age there is a reason he is a coordinator and not a head coach. He either doesn't want the hassle of a HC or he may not have the skills to be a HC.

Like others have said he probably jumps back to the nfl as an OC at some point.

Unless someone else offers him a contract that is structured better.

This... His record as a head coach is pretty bad.

Try google for some.
His head coaching record is just too impressive that you couldn't help yourself and had to ask the question....?

Nothing says first class head coaching material like a head coaching resume of a 18-37 collegiate record and 1-15 NFL record.

Not all coordinators are HC material...no matter how awesome they are at OC/DC. Cam Cameron is walking proof of this reality.

He makes more as the OC at LSU than he would as an OC in the NFL

NFL record is irrelevant. AS for Collegiate record it was Indiana. What defines success in Bloomington? He brought an exciting offense to that team with Randle-El. So times change, Philosophies change, and Offense is suddenly all the rage.

I'm afraid my question is legit.
