Would your mind set be different today...

If ODB called a fair catch and fielded the punt? Let's say the rest of the game plays out identically, but UGA had one less possession because we didn't muff the punt and we win 41-37.
Would your confidence level be different moving forward? Or would you still be harping on the defense and assume 2 more losses?
I had to ask myself that this morning for perspective. I think I would be somewhat worried about the D, but I think a win causes you to focus more on the positives of a game and put the negatives on the back burner. Therefore my confidence would be higher. The point is, we are the same team whether Beckham catches the punt or not.
Just a thought for discussion

Defense is just plain bad for LSU "tradition". Maybe yesterday wakes them up but their poor play has nothing to do with Youth.

Nope. Defense still sucks regardless. Pretty unfair to think the offense should have to play up to the level they did yesterday just to put them in position to win games.

Even if we'd held Uga on that last drive, I don't think our D could deliver a NC....especially if Oregon is the opponent.

Think we may have been spoiled to expect a NC this year. Our expectations and envy are escalated due to the team to our East in AL.
Aside from that Bowl meltdown at the end, last year was great yet a 10 -2 season was less than acceptable to some because AL won the NC.

I'd be much happier, but still would hope the defense is able to improve.
