I hate taking market positions on political influence. But the influence is so consequential it is impossible to ignore. Not to mention the recent reverse market logic of bad news is good news because it signals the FED will continue sending gift baskets of funding. I suspect we will not see any significant solution or plan, only short term maneuvering to avoid disaster.

So, what will interest rates do when the temporary extension is approved? Move up?

How about equities? Up?

Oh yea, ignore the real economic data of PMI, ISM, Auto sales, Construction Spending, and Jobs for purposes of this discussion.

We've seen short term maneuvering for like forever. Nothing significant is going to happen as we kick the can down the road.
