Not necessarily in your area, but these are some of my favorites in the valley.
Bandera - steak/fish/rotisserie chicken in Old Town Scottsdale
Sting Ray - sushi, in Old Town and North Scottsdale
Cornish Pasty - English/Irish in Tempe
Blanco - Mexican in North Scottsdale
The Phoenix area has some of the best food I've ever had.
There is even a Cajun place, Baby Kay's.
