I think our defense will prove all the doubters wrong this weekend. We'll run up the score early, and our D will keep Murray and Gurley in check. A late Georgia TD inflates their score and makes the game appear closer, but we win going away. 38-27.

If you agree that our defense will silence all the negas this weekend, this is your chance to go on record!

I think UGA scores in the 30's but I really hope you're right.

I'll bite....I think if our offense can move the ball and keep our defense off the field for extended periods of time (especially late in the game) the defense will have its best performance of the year.

I think that the level of focus for this particular game cannot be overlooked....it will be (or at least should be) higher than it has been all season.

Checking in. I think the defense will hold up better against Georgia's pro style offense than they did against Auburn.

With each team having a "big" back, I think its a game of defensive depth. Our linebackers need to step up big in run support. Make Aaron Murray find the right read and beat us.

Fair enough. I thought about that after posting. But like I said, that score's a little inflated because of a late TD or two. The game will not be that close. Bottom line is that our defense is better than most people are giving it credit for. IMO

If LSU establishes their running game and pressures Murray, it won't be close. 34-17.

I think the defense will keep Murray on the run, which will prevent him from throwing the deep routes. Pressure is the only answer for sub-par safety play. Corners have played well enough to trust them underneath. Chief just can't give Murray time to throw.

I see Allen having a great game Saturday. 2 sacks and plays on the other side of scrimmage all day.

Kwon is my pick. His closing speed and ability to run down Murray... big game for Kwon. I'm expecting Chief to blitz Kwon.

My, how things have changed this year. Giving up 27 points, even with a late TD, is now considered proving people wrong?

The reality is our offense will have to carry the defense this year. I know this is a foreign concept to all of us since it's been the opposite for so many years. I'm not suggesting our defense is horrible, but it's not what we're use to seeing under Chavis. It's a work in progress.

Thankfully, we have an offense this year that can pick up the slack.

I dknt think this will be the case for the whole year. I've said all season out offense will have to carry us the first half of the year, I believe by game 6 or 7 this unit will have the bugs worked out and the talent will really start to shine in this unit.

We are not Clemson, we will not need a shootout to win.

I think our defense is more likely to impose its will on UGA and make them one dimensional. We can key in on Gurley/Marshall and force them to beat us through the air. I think our secondary matches up well with their receivers.

I am not a nega but our defense, IMO, has been soft so far this year. this saturday would be a great time to show marked improvement...cause if they don't we could be come satnite.

get better, get ready...get even.

Well, is it this...

quote:

A late Georgia TD inflates their score and makes the game appear closer

or this?...

quote:

we win going away

You do realize these two contradict each other, right?

I disagree. Nothing will have to carry our defense. It will be (and is) fine.

That much, we agree on.

No, I do not realize that. Georgia can have a late TD that inflates their score, and we can win going away.
