What movies or tv shows did you enjoy growing up, enjoy now, whenever, but have always found that you're either in the minority or that your friends have never even heard of them?

I've got:

The Wraith

Which you only watch for one reason, the Turbo Interceptor:

Airwolf
Again, one reason to watch:

Gladiator, no one ever hears about this boxing movie for obvious reasons but it's a great flick.

Everyone remembers the HBO show but not a lot of people remember the kids show. I was a big fan as a kid and I recently purchased season 1 and 2 on DVD. I didn't know about EC comics back then but now that I do it makes this show a little more enjoyable.

I saw this ridiculous Clint Howard horror movie as a kid late at night and it freaked me out.

Ditto on Monty Python.

I also enjoyed Benny Hill as a kid. I wish it still came on Comedy Central.

pretty much every 80's movie that got mediocre reviews, i love.

Love the 2 ewok movies, teen wolf(both of them), Little Monsters, bill and ted, and many others

my absolute biggest cult classic is a movie called Baby Cakes. It's like a 1990 Lifetime movie starring fat Ricki Lake. I own the DVD and have seen it about 20 times

Michael J. Fox in his feature film debut. The stars are David Naughton (American Werewolf in London) and Maggie Roswell (Pretty in Pink, many secondary female voices on the Simpsons) about an elaborate "scavenger hunt"-type competition between various stereotyped college cliques.

Only the second Disney release to not hold a "G" rating (after Black Hole), it also featured a young Paul Reubens (you know him as Pee Wee Herman).

A great family movie that is definitely not too kiddie. It holds a 69% Rotten Tomatoes score, so its reputation has improved over the years, but I still think it is one of the most underrated movies, particularly Disney films, of all time.

I thought I was the only person in the world who liked The Wraith.

Along similar lines, a few of my guilty pleasure movies:

James Spader is a great "troubled smartass rebellious teen". And Kim Richards has been my crush since I was 8 and saw her in Escape to Witch Mountain. The "bad guy" is the the kind of bad guy that is REALLY bad, and you hate his guts.

Just like the bad guy in my next submission:

Probably Jim Belushi's best movie.

Which brings me to the next movie with a very deplorable bad guy:

Matt Dillon's character, Mooney, is the kind of guy that knows he's a piece of shite bully, and revels in it.

And lastly, a movie that, if I see it on, even if it's almost midnight, my arse is planted there on the couch. I freaking LOVE this movie.

How the Green Team didn't get their own spin-off series is beyond me - hell - Pabst Blue Ribbon should have funded it, in conjunction with Disney.

The leader of the Green Team (Meat Machine) was Hoss from Bonanza's son, by the way.
