on that deep throw if there not already. That's the only throw Mettenberger has trouble throwin. Last season he overthrew a lot, but this season most of them are underthrown. And Beckham has to make some real difficult catches sometimes. If Mett is on with this throw Beckham has a lot more TD's than he does now because he been behind most DB's this season so for.

I am sure they work on it all the time. I guarantee you they want to connect on long bombs more than you want them to.

The funny thing is, usually, if it's caught, it wasn't a great throw. If it's a great throw, he drops it. That was certainly the case on the first drive last night.

Mett sucked on deep balls last season but he has been throwing that ball really well this season. Odell should have caught that bomb in the first quarter. It would have been a difficult catch but I think Odell has progressed enough to where he should be expected to catch that.

The ball was hitting ODBs hands time and time again.. he just didn't have the want last night.

Mett isn't going to be able to thread needles on every pass. ODB is going to just have to keep doing work. I've seen him do big things.

Sorry buddy disagree. That ball was behind, he had to slow down and turn backwards to try and make a really difficult catch with the defender closing in. Go back and watch the tape.

Players practice all the time after regular practice, but you wouldn't know nothing about that.

I don't know what some of you are watching. Those are really difficult catches Beckham is tryin to do. The ball is not out in front of him. He has to slow down, break his speed in most cases so for and turn his body like he attempted last nite while still going fast to try and reel it in with the defender that he had left behind now on top of him.

you want a ball that's already out there that Beckham can just run right under without breaking stride. And so for Mett hasn't mastered that yet.

Dude, if he throws it any further out in front last night, the safety gets is. He couldn't have handed it to him any cleaner than that throw.

That said, in the first couple of games, there were a couple he underthrew.

I'm sure Mett and ODB never work on those long balls. They just wing it during the games.

Mett to Beckham deep is fine if Beckham gets wide open. But Beckham isn't a 1 on 1 deep threat. That's why I was hoping Dural or Leslie would step up this year. Beckham is 6'0 at best and isn't going to win many battles going up against a corner to catch a deep ball. He just doesn't have that kind of size.

No. I don't know what you are looking at. Go back and look at it. The ball is underthrown.

And regardless, that ball on the first drive went thru only two things on it's way to the ground. His hands. Are you related to OBJ?

Beckham has run past most cornerbacks so for this season. He's a legit 4.4 speed.

You try makin that catch he attempted. It was basically a got damn circus catch. The timin is not there. If it were those throws would be on target. They just need to get the timin down where he runs right under it without losing stride.

I think you're over simplifying the act of throwing a 45-55 yard bomb and timing it perfectly to hit a guy in stride that runs a 4.4 forty. That throw is a crapshoot most of the time. As a QB, you're told to under throw it in order to give your man a shot and Mett is doing exactly that.

I would rather them spend time working on the timing of the more important timing routes like flags and outs.

There a lot of QB's out there that make those throws all the time. NFL and college. No one is oversimplfying anything. As I just said the timin is off between the two. That's where practice together comes into play.

and they defintely don't need to work on what you just said. Mettenberg has those throws down perfect with both Beckham and Landry.
