Government Seeking To Include “Social And Behavioral Data” In Health Records

quote:

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) wants to require health care providers to include “social and behavioral” data in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and to link patient’s records to public health departments, it was announced last week.

Health care experts say the proposal raises additional privacy concerns over Americans’ personal health information, on top of worries that the Obamacare “data hub” could lead to abuse by bureaucrats and identify theft.

The CMS currently covers 100 million people through Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Hospital Insurance Program and is tasked with running Obamacare.

Mmmmhuh...folk who used to revere the Constitution and were viewed as patriotic are now suspected (future) terrorists. Think Tea Party, and they are targeted by the IRS.

If you vote against Obama, and his Statist "spread-the-wealth-around"/"fundamentally change the nation" agenda...the Federal Health Care apparatus will view such an individual as having anti-social *behavioral* problems. Re-education treatment may be required.

Less problematic culture that way, dl. Competition is innately immoral...winners and losers. Makes one wonder just where it'll all end up.

Damn...Saban is a beast.

They're building a dossier on every citizen, or maybe I should say adding to their dossiers on every citizen ... everything we do, everywhere we go ... phone records, email, health, employment, financial, our associates, our political leanings, and now even how we behave. It may not be in a folder but it's at their fingertips, just keyboard touch away.

All the better to control us. But it's for our own good!!!

So should the government keep records on everyone's sexual practices and number of partners? Or does that information get special privileges?

All those that are black,
gay
believe in GW.
Were bused in to vote for Obama in many states over and over

will get whatever care/surgeries/treatment/meds they need (may be a 6 month wait even for them.) The rest will be denied audited, harrassed and maybe droned one day. All wedding cakes will be ordered to be gay only, unicorns will be transportation. Free skittles if you vote many times for the democrats and join a union. Then there will be no one left on earth but Obama/Dem supporters and earth will explode after too much monopoly money being made shuts down everything.

This type of news was so easily predictable when the government control of healthcare debate began. Once the government is involved - and especially once they are controlling - and "paying for it" - they can do whatever they want to all of us.

Get ready - the US Government OWNS YOU. They think they pay for your healthcare which means they can tell you exactly how to live your life since they pay for your life.

Only idiots support any type of government involvement in healthcare.

Awesome.

If the government can identify all the "bad behaving" ones in the population and sterilize them, then we can build a better and more compliant society.

Just think of a world were people behaved and did as the government told them.

Diversity? Screw that.

re: Government Seeking To Include “Social And Behavioral Data” In Health Records

quote:

“It’s including more pay for performance requirements on physicians to collect all sorts of data in order to get government reimbursements,” he said.

The 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act gave authority to the CMS to pay hospitals and doctors that make the switch to electronic health records, to “encourage widespread EHR adoption.”

Health care professionals who began participating in the program in 2011 or 2012 can receive up to $44,000 for using EHRs for Medicare and $63,750 for Medicaid over 5 and 6 years, respectively.

Who will turn down this scheme when they are simply getting PAID to do all medical records electronically?

This is at the top of Drudge right now CA, you were ahead of the curve.
quote:

‘Are you sexually active? If so, with one partner, multiple partners or same-sex partners?”
Be ready to answer those questions and more the next time you go to the doctor, whether it’s the dermatologist or the cardiologist and no matter if the questions are unrelated to why you’re seeking medical help. And you can thank the Obama health law.

Yes, apparently it already exists.

Health-care ‘data hub’ is ready, White House officials say - Washington Post
