Hack journalism and author can include two head coaches.
Academics - LSU has suspended several players at LSU for entire year.

So, it's all an act? Miles doesn't care about the kids? Miles is the devil?

that's their own fricking problem. if you're in college and illiterate, you fricked up way before OSU football came into the picture.

all this stuff is is former players looking for a handout because they didn't make it in the league.

I am of the opinion that if these writers are going to throw coaches under the bus and potentially threaten their careers, they shouldn't be able to use phrases like "four players" or "anonymous sources"

Anyone who has ever attended college can tell you that probably over half of the athletes aren't good students. There is a reason why academic tutors are in such high demand. Also, if anyone thinks for one minute that athletes arent steered towards easy classes and majors then our fricking lying to yourself. Thayer Evans took shite that any realistic person knows, and wrote an article about it and it's shocking to the naive. This shite is so ridiculous it doesnt even make sense.

This one was even worse than yesterday's entry. A bunch of dead beats who took shortcuts in school blaming Oklahoma State for their shitty spot in life.

That's why SI should have egg on their face with this shite. An Oklahoma homer writes a hit piece about Oklahoma State with weak info that could be gathered at every college football program in the country. You could write this same story at Central Michigan.

Exactly. There are some serious allegations in there, though, and this article is calling Miles the mastermind.

"anonymous sources"

Almost every breaking story for SI or ESPN have them. It's getting ridiculous, they can say whatever they want without any consequences.

I wonder how much SI paid these pill-popping ex-football players for their story.

Having a best friend who is an athlete, an Uncle who was/is extremely high up in multiple universities dealing with athletes and academics, and a sister who has personally tutored those athletes while being one herself, I can honestly say they are walked through college while multiple people hold their hand in the process.

Absolutely. When I was in college I had a few classes with athletes and they were not the brightest stars in the sky.
