i think it's the LB' right now but i'm not a coach. i know that our defense is vulnerable to three types of plays; the screen pass and runs up the gut or around the ends. it seems to me we are failing on both lb and safety play.

DB's. The D-line should help mask some of the weakness with the LB's.

I've seen weaknesses with both coverage and run support from the DB's. That's not good.

I don't think it's any coincidence that we are heavily working on the passing game the last couple weeks. We're going to have to have the ability to score quickly with the likes of A&M and Georgia and even Ole Miss.

I expect some shootouts this year. Young guys will need to grow up real fast.

understatement.

op answer....db's look very average and even though I thought the lb's played somewhat better satnite there is still much work to be done. very fortunate that we're not the ones playing JFF this saturday. this defense needs more time to get up to speed and that commodity is quickly running out. we need to show marked improvement this week and our D needs to show me that they can sustain defensive pressure for 60 frickn' minutes. JMO.

get better, get ready...get even.

I'm not sure, but wasn't one of UAB's receivers legit? I think number 18? Legit as in big and fast.

The first SEC game will expose weaknesses.

It is a tie. They both are OK. Not concerned with either. They will get better.

Have not been impressed with Welter, Loston (dude, take a better angle!) or Mills.

Mills was whining about being interfered with on two plays where he got burnt. The replay showed nothing but Mills getting flamed. Don't blame, just get better JM. Don't cry wolf.

Like I said, at least one of their receivers was very good. So what the guy caught a few passes, it happens.

The problems on defense are simple. Replace Loston,Martin,Jalen Collins, and Welter with Eugene,T White,Robinson,And either Louis or Jones.

And chew the frick out of Mills arse. He is good but I'm not sure what is going on with him
