I'm working on helping a landowner monitor a few places on his property. I'd like the OB's opinion on the best camera systems. Assume money is not an object. He's open to everything from clearance rack specials to real-time Cadillac systems. Thanks.

I like my Wildgame cameras, they just don't last. I've had about 20, and 18 months was the longest one has consistently worked. No problems with my Cuddebacks.

Awesome. I have about 10 right now that need to get sent back to Bill Busbice. I never filled out the "warranty registration card" on any of them. Do they ask for that?

it is a small world and company is in LA. good chance one of those boys reads the OB. may want to take that down.

I had difficulty getting in touch with a person by phone but once I did I got one replaced for free in only a few days.

IR4 are good cameras. get the ones with the external battery port.

As people have said, we have had no issues with our wildgame innovations cameras for 3 years now. Take great day/night pics as well as videos.

I've had two WGI cameras and they both broke in no time at all. I have the primos I35 now and its been great the two years I've been using it.

All of those mentioned are ok, but the OP said assume money is no object.

There's only one answer, Reconyx. It's the only camera that won't miss pics, it's the most reliable, and they have the best customer service. You won't believe how many animals a $200 camera misses until you put it side by side against a Reconyx.

With that said, I can't afford to buy a bunch of $500 cameras. I run HCO and UWAY brand cameras. Several of the $200 cameras (HCO, Covert, Bushnell) are basically the same internals (boly media) in different cases, so there isn't that much difference in them. Go with the one that has the longest warranty if you aren't going to go with Reconyx.

It's for a couple boat landings and entrances to campgrounds. It's a pretty big operation, outside of Louisiana, and they just doesn't have the staff to monitor these locations. They want to keep tabs on facility usage, and I told them I could help.

In regard to what someone said about the Reconyx, that's good to know you are getting what you are paying for. These folks aren't the kind to want to purchase the cheapest thing on the market. I am thinking about pitching them the wireless systems that upload the pictures to a website. I've never used them, but I want to give them options.

Thanks for all the replies.

Mine was junk also. Just last night I took it apart to check it out.
I got it for Christmas one yaer. I waited until the following season and tried it. It worked but never used it much. I may have used it for a total of under 20 days of woods time. Last year I set it back up and nothing. I dug it out lasat night to check it and it is J U N K

I usually run 10-15 Bushnells. Battery life is pretty good (takes 8 AAs) and pictures are crisp. The best cameras are Reconyx, though, but for the number of cameras I use, it would be way too expensive to run them. Reconyx are about $500 a piece.
