I watched C Rob commit to bama. When his mom finally figured out how to get the plastic lids bag open, to pull out the hat, the espnu guy asked "How big of a deal is it that your friend Simms is going to bama?"

As soon as the tv guy said the name Simms, C Rob got the biggest smile on his face and stared saying yeah before the question was finished.

C Rob said "I'm looking at him (Simms) right now, we go back to 3rd grade, he's like my little brother. That was extremely influential in my decision."

We lost Landon Collins because bama gave his girlfriend a basketball scholarship, now the #3 overall prospect in the country goes to gump land because they gave his childhood friend a free ride. This is at least twice in 2 years we have been out foxed by saban.

Why did we not offer this kid Simms??

Because we don't need to recruit lesser talented guys to sway a kids decision.

because why waste a spot on a scrub WR just for another player when we have legit WRs higher on the board?

Hindsight is 20/20, but I wish LSU would have.

Could have always "processed" him like nick will do.

Last time he was invited to numerous camps and snubbed them all...he knew he could not compete with the wr attending and that would make his stock drop

B/c he ran a slow 40. Miles and company then asked him to come to camp and earn an offer. He did not show up as he reportedly felt disrespected. He did not earn an offer and les miles is not going to let a recruit hold his program hostage over getting another recruit. No one player makes or breaks a program. Les runs a program of discipline and hard work and if you don't put in the wok he doesn't want you plain and simple.

Cam is friends with plenty of guys in LSU's 2014 class. He wanted to go to Alabama. Plain and simple

i'm not saying we should have offerred sims but its hard to believe that sims is not at least as good as either/both chark or gage. wasting one schollie a year is really not a big deal. bama basically refused to give sims a commitable offer until we took the lead for crob recently. one schollie is not that valuable.

Maybe he should have tried to prove it, like they did.

I wish people would stop fricking knighting for a kid that didn't want to compete for an offer.

I'm all for losing CR if it means not offering a kid scared to compete with more talented kids.

He should do well over there.....
