coaches have several different ways to communicate losses to the public. what he's saying is "we are pretty close to being as good as LSU" and he wants his players to know that. i agree they are pretty close to us and that should fare well for them in the big 12. i say they are a contender in teh big 12 and would be in the top 7 in the sec and possibly higher.

eh...LSU made some big mistakes which is part of the game, but I thought LSU dominated them for the most part...but the mistakes kept them in it
in fact, I got nervous at 30-27...then we finished the game...

Exactly. What some want is for him to drop in a fetal position and say LSU is the greatest team of all time and just totally destroyed his team. The man was very complimentary of the Tigers. However his job is not to send messages approved by LSU's fanbase. His job is to send a message to his team.

fbb I agree. Where is he getting this? In fact, a lot of the media had us on upset alert. If we were supposed to win by 30, then why did Vegas have us giving 4-6? He is just trying to make himself and his team look better in a loss.

But his point was to praise the effort of his team, pure and simple.
let's take away our 14 pt gifts and take away his 10 pt gifts. That is 13-27. I won't even add in one of the TDs that were Pass Interfered with, where we settled for a FG. If I did then it would have been a 31-13 arse raping of a top 20 team.
