I admittedly did not watch the game, so I am wondering if the 20 points given up to Buffalo was something to be concerned about. The depth in the front 7 is what makes me think tOSU might not get through their schedule unscathed.

Urban Meyer is getting a note from his doctor as we speak.

In our defense, we were playing without two all conference starters in Bradley Roby and CJ Barnett. Having them in there will make a HUGE difference. Also, one of the TD's isn't on the defense as Buffalo scored on a Pick 6. Ill give some credit to Buffalo, they will finish near the top of the MAC. Not too concerned at all.

Thanks. The pick six is good to know. I guess I could've looked at the box score.

Too many fans get too high or too low after week 1.

Is Shazier the best player on your D? Still can't believe he went to Ohiya

Yes, and he left the game on a cart due to cramps. He essentially didn't play either. I will take more of a stance after this week. Too many factors played a role in this game for me to really judge.

I'd say Roby is the best player on our D, and Shazier is 2nd. Both are potential 1st rounders.

Without Roby our 3rd corner got beaten up on a little bit. He gave up about 100 yards, and a couple of personal fouls continued drives.

Our RT got destroyed by Khalil Mack (people are saying he's a first rounder but a starting tackle at OSU should not be giving up tons of big plays), and our starting center only played like 15-20 snaps

Dontre Wilson is similar to D'anthony Thomas if you ask me. Plays reckless and is extremely shifty/fast. Also fumbled in his first game

Agreed. Although it doesn't take NOSTRADAMUS to predict what will happen in January. Either tOSU or Oregon will lose to the SEC champion by a sizeable portion.

#Oregon has an SEC level front (DL/OLB). I think if #Bama played them tomorrow that would be the difference.

Middlekauff is a former NFL scout.

There is no way Oregon is losing to anyone by a sizable portion.

I also don't see tOSU getting blown out of the water.

I will take an LSU poster's opinion over his in the MSB.

Btw, he is still active as an analyst.

Oregon gained 772 yards against a high school team. You have things to worry about.

This thread is about tOSU and their defense. However, I'll bite.

Oregon would be lucky to get to 300 against OSU. That's my point. And I have seen a few of your posts on here and you really suck. Just sayin.

So, you're saying we should have gotten more yardage?

I don't know how our offense would do against their defense. I am unsure about their defense.

I will say this.

Oregon's stat line from Saturday.

772 yards
32 1st downs
66 points
71 plays
all in 19:46 of possession time. unreal.

Would not happen against Ohio St. or any other team with a pulse.

I don't expect Oregon to break a yardage record against anyone else. I take nothing from our game yesterday.

Personally, I am wondering about tOSU's depth in the front seven after replacing 5/7 starters. After seeing the scoreline, I was curious.

Buffalo scored after the game was out of reach. They have a nice D and will only get better. Now playing in the big 10 doesn't help, cause IMO they would lose at least three games in the pac 10 and more than that in the sec.

I guess the better question would be, how come you play such a shitty non conference schedule when your conference is such a joke already? OSU beats cupcakes by 4-8 points, plays exactly zero elite teams and will demand respect and the right to get skullfricked in the title game. Yay.

Eta: Do you guys really think you're the second best team in the country?

They're playing away at CAL. When scheduling that game, Cal was pretty good.

Btw, Cal will only improve too.
