I'm watching the Colorado/Colorado State game, and just heard Colorado's band playing our 2nd down song.
I thought this tune was unique to us?

I thought it was unique to us too until I heard it at the 2009 New Orleans bowl (I think it was middle Tennessee that played it.) Oh well, the only song that is really originally ours is the second half of the fast part of "Pregame."

I was probably going to LSU games before you were born, but I didn't know what the second down song was. Now I do. I, too , am surprised that someone else is using it.

I am ashamed to say that my first game was in 1977 at age 17. We beat Rice 77-0.

I wasn't at that game, but I guarantee you I remember rooting for Charles Alexander, and even Bert Jones.
