Any team that wins 3 out of 4 NCs is going to have its pick of the litter. Period. You want LSU to pull top Bama talent? Win 3 out of 4 NCs.

Les is doing fantastic with his class. Phenomenal, actually. Plus, he’s taken care of the most important thing: winning on the field (new OC and keeping Chief engaged). I expect great things this year, which for LSU over the past decade, is really saying something.

When he came to campus before the NFL Draft and met Coach Stout and a few of the guys about to be drafted, and made the connections then

Then the guys got drafted and Bama almost lost their footing when Stout left and he made a solid connection with Napier through trying to get Sims an offer) and his Mom feels comfortable with Napier that connection is the most important

Then Saban hired Mario Cristobal and he made a solid enough connection but maintained his relationship with Napier

The Summer camp visit made a great impression to see all the OL and Bama coaches kind of just let him do his own thing no pressure then he went to LSU Camp and everyone there and all the kids all tried to push him to commit etc and he left I think feeling like LSU had a great group but he didn't get enough time with Coach Stud like 1on1 time, it was a hectic camp and he spent most of his time with Frank Wilson, before that he was a slight Bama lean and LSU had to deliver him a perfect experience and they didn't

The nail in the coffin was when he set up his visit to Bama and prompted Hootie and LF to come with him. Staff let him know they were gonna offer Sims and were trying their best to lure Ronnie Clark and it was a done deal at that point IMO
