I've seen this kid play at the rec level for the last couple of years. His dad played college and pro ball, his older brother (Dwayne) lead the Navarre High School team as a RB 2-3 years ago. It will be fun seeing how he does as a freshman in high school this season.

His dad or probably his grandfather may be Michael Carter who played for SMU and the 49'er. One of the strongest NFL guys ever. Was an Olympic shot putter too.
He was one of those guys that was so big, when I met him, I asked him where he played football. Was still at SMU at the time. Saw him once in Monroe a couple of years later. He recognized me and spoke to me. Really nice guy. Bet his son is a good kid.
Set the high school record that stands for the shot in 1979. 81 feet 31/2 inches
