This. I'm not the biggest Bana fan, but I don't think he is terrible.

I think his career was hurt by that abortion of a Hulk movie.

On top of the fact that he was good in Hanna, Hanna itself was a good movie. Even if VaBamaMan hates Bana, he can't deny that Hanna was a good movie. And he damn sure can't deny that Black Hawk Down and Munich were good movies.

the story was pretty weak, but everything else was real good. soundtrack, acting, camerawork, all top notch. some awesome shots in the movie

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty interesting take on the basic fantasy tale (i.e. kid is an outcast, kid finds out he/she is extraordinary, kid either (a) attempts to save the planet, or (b) attempts to find out how he/she became this way, usually for revenge). At the very least, Saoirse Ronan made the character interesting.

I wish you bastards had gone to see it in theaters, they'd be filming the sequel right now

Sorry CB,

I watched it on Epix a couple of nights ago and thought it was pretty good. I never watched it before because of how bad the Stallone one was.

Damn. Just finished it. I purposely didn't see it because of all the remakes, and the Stallone one wasn't that great. I chose poorly.

Enjoyed it tremendously. Even liked that they managed to throw in a "I am the law." After watching the Total Recall remake and being disappointed, this was a welcome surprise.

Watched it tonight. Very enjoyable 90 minute action flick. Some of the praise in this thread seems a bit over the top though.

I'm a DC fan and that movie was insulting enough to piss me off and to have sympathy for Marvel fans.

I still have a base dislike for Bana because of it.

Dredd is a great movie in the category of the John Wayne westerns of the 60's, where you have a hero trapped in a community ruled by a corrupt/evil overlord. It's not a Scorcese level of greatness, but as an action hero film it's a great ride.
