If they were a package deal. Sims would be at LSU no question. But he wasn't even offered.

Actually, if you look at it, Stud has actually done pretty well with the talent he has had since coming to LSU

He has produced decent to good OLs, but has not prepared guys well for the NFL. I really dont see how a person could disagree with that statement. He has been here for going into his seventh season now and has had a whooping 2 NFL draft picks off his OLs here (out of 6 drafts). Think about that, the most numerous position we have on the team in OL we've had among the fewest draft picks. It certainly isn't for a lack of talent either. I've broken this down before and it really doesnt look good for Stud.

We've had 6 RBs and 4 WRs drafted since he came here but only 2 OL. We've had 3 LBs drafted in the last 4 drafts since Chief has been here...but only 2 OL the last 6 drafts...and you want to tell me we had more LB talent than OL talent in that time frame? No way.

Stud just needs to really get things going NFL wise otherwise he FINALLY might be looking for a new job. He was a disaster as a OC and a mediocre at the very best OL coach.

I think it will be interesting to see how well Stud does this year with more talent on the OL and him only being the OL coach.

In no way am I trying to make excuses for him, because he was part of the problem of bad evals on the OL, but since Frank Wilson has arrived, our OL evals have been much better.

So I'm hearing lsu is the slight leader for cam rob and has been for the past month or so. This was a strategy move by bama.

Eta: I'm being dead serious

I've seen a picture on this board that says:

"BamaCessed"

I believe that's true.

Yes, bama is good. Yes bama is a rival. but damn, can we at least have every OTHER thread be about bama instead of 2 out of 3?

This is getting ridiculous. Tigerdroppings gives bama more publicity than Lindsay Lohan's probation judge.

I've sort of felt this way since the July camp. The camp seems to have made a huge impression on everybody who was there.

Yeah, I doubt Sims offer was commitable this time last month. Bama coaches started to feel Cam slipping away to LSU so they took Sims.

Is there a reason we didn't offer an in state, 6'4" WR who had over a dozen offers?

HE ran a very slow 40 time at camp last year and never made it back to get re-evaluated.

That and...

You have to go to LSU camp or frick off pretty much.

In all seriousness, LSU holds their camp above everything else. They want to see kids in person and evaluate how they respond to coaching. Sims didn't go this year and an offer went to Chark instead.

You're forgetting Quille. I know he won't be going here, but he was higher than anyone on our WR board.

Though, I guess we could do something to solve Quille's problems. #ride4Quille.
