Delta Exec warns that Obamacare is "not business as usual"

LINK

quote:

Delta Air Lines has issued an urgent warning about the impact of ObamaCare, claiming the law's implementation will contribute to a roughly $100 million increase in health care costs next year alone.

quote:

the fee meant to help subsidize the health care law's coverage amounts to a "direct subsidy" from the company that provides "zero direct benefit to our participants," Kight said.

searched Delta, and didn't see. Sorry if germans.

Hmmm...so is Obamacare going to usher in the hyperinflation that many have been predicting? So not only will we have layoffs, but the cost of all products will go up as overhead skyrockets.

Meaning companies will have a much larger overhead paying employee healthcare, therefore increases in products across the board.

You don't think the cost of Deltas flights will increase due to this added cost?

When interest rates are 0.... any price surge would be considered inflation in my book. Even if its not in the super secret dictionary of economists

oh ok

so which dictionary are we using again? the one where any potential movement, of any size, in the price of anything, for any reason, is hyperinflation?

Where did the word hyper come from?

If you never fly Delta you will not be affected by Delta.

UPS came out and said ACA affects them by 1 million for 40,000 employees, and Delta says 100 million for 160,000 participants. Who to believe?

Inflation, as measured by DOL, affects the average Joe.

Seriously? You do realize Delta flies cargo of items you purchase, individuals that operate and manage companies that you buy goods from, and your family.

Not Obama that's for sure who promised no increase in premiums due to Obamacare.

Just because they are being most vocal, doesn't mean it only affects them.

I'm sure AE/AA, United, are all looking at this too. It's not going to be just Delta.

oh, my humblest apologies, sir.

go ahead and take what i said, pretend that i only said "inflation" where i said "hyperinflation," and it is not one iota less correct.
