You can tell that most of the players know what is developing and can't stand to be part of it.

That was a colossal waste of an article. One guy gave an opinion, and the network over two days blew it up into some kind of faux "big story". There was nothing controversal there. It was simply an instance of a 24 hour sports network giving themselves something to talk about when there is absolutely nothing of interest going on in the sports world. There's alot of things to shite on ESPN about, but that was a waste of time

Half of Mike & Mike each morning is devoted to something "absolutely crazy" an ESPN analyst said the day before.

At the conclusion of every NFL season, an ESPN analyst will rank the SB winning QB's place on the current/all-time QB ranking. ESPN will beat the shite out of this for the next week. Right before the next NFL season commences, the same ESPN analyst will essentially rerank the same QB. ESPN will then proceed to beat the shite out of that for another week. Meanwhile, said QB did not take one snap of a football from the initial ranking to the updated ranking.

If people have quit watching ESPN, then why do they seem to be more popular than ever?

School age kids do less homework now. I blame them.

Deadspin needs to work out some kind of deal with FS1 to have like their own daily one hour show on the network. Mad respect for them

I disagree. If this is the best Deadspin can do to somehow expose ESPN for manufacturing stories, then that's pretty weak. Jaws gave an over the top opinion and sports people talked about it for news cycle. Big deal. It's the cool thing to hate ESPN I guess, but the Deadspin article was lame much ado about nothing.

When it was Jaworski's turn, he issued a stern proclamation. "Call me crazy, but I'm really excited for Tyler Palko tonight," he said, and a roomful of skeptical sports producers erupted in laughter. Jaworski had given himself the thankless task of building up the Chiefs, praising them as much as he could without putting his own credibility at risk. Perhaps viewers would buy into the idea, however far-fetched, that Palko would emerge as the night's underdog hero. Later that day, as Jaworski was making a cup of coffee in the ESPN bus, he tried the line again. "Call me crazy, but I'm excited about Tyler Palko," he said. He exhaled. "I've got to sell this," he said to himself.

Sounds just like the blueprint and garbage the announcers said during the Okie State - Oklahoma game in selling the voters on Alabama for the title game - and a rematch with LSU...all for ESPN and the mothership to make more money.

BCS has been nothing more than a money-making sham since its inception.
