Back in '06-07, I was up there at least 1-2 times a week for work.
And the short answer...No.

theres a spot in the old downtown area, someone posted about it here a month or so back. don't remember the name of it. Passed by there last thursday while driving thru and it looked to have a good crowd at lunch..
I grabbed a chili dog at Checkers
also the sonic there give the one in rayville a run for it's money.

Cecil's is the cajun place. Faustos has burgers and fried stuff. I've heard Thai Basil was decent

I have also heard this but have never tried it... From the outside it looks like a shite hole. it has a shite hand painted wood sign and is in a building that was a shoneys or something else.
I think, at least for me, that was in another recognizable building but is no "whatever" place give off a negative vibe right off the bat. Example beyond Thai Basil is the new Indian place on george o'neal in BR, looks like a dump from the outside, an old pizza hut, but they have good food. It's a personal issue I have to look past. I know not every place can have new from the ground up construction and the old, empty spaces offer kitchens in place etc as well as a cheaper "note" every month.
