Lindsay Lohan joins S4 of Eastbound & Down

Seeing as Lohan could teach even Kenny Powers a thing or two about sordidness, let's hope it's the latter.
I'm skeptical as to where the story can go but I'll be watching.

I love the show and thought S3 was great and wrapped everything up perfectly. I'm dubious about a fourth season and this sort of stunt casting sure isn't helping things.

Great move for all parties. It's not like the show has some amazing history it has to preserve that would be ruined by her presence.

Exactly. She's shown flashes of real comedic talent but its completely overshadowed by her train wreckedness. As for the show, a S4 seems a mistake but at least we'll see LL naked.

I truly enjoyed the phenomenon that Kenny Powers and Eastbound and Down in Season 1. It was so in your face and raw. I bought season 1 on DVD and love watching it.
That said, seasons 2 and 3 were beyond horrible. No longer fresh. Pitiful content. It lost its edge. The story was played and stale. I am not holding out much hope for season 4. I will check it out to see if they do a U turn, but my expectations are very low. They should have stopped with season 1. It was classic.
I just wish sometimes the powers that be when it comes to entertainment went by the philosophy "Less is More".
