Seriously, how amazing is this movie? It's completely astounding and one ups Alice in Wonderland as a whole. The animation may be the best ever put to film and challenges the medium as a whole. Anyone with any knowledge of the genre should be incredibly impressed by the film.

What's your opinion on it?

Great movie worth all of the praise that it gets. Although it isn't my favorite of Miyazaki's creations, it is definitely a 10/10 in my book.

Comparing it to Alice in Wonderland is perfect and I agree it does one up the Alice story.

While they're both 10/10, I'd say that Princess Mononoke is my favorite Miyazaki film. It's also simply incredible.

Its always hard for me to pick and my opinion changes each time I watch one of his films, but I'd put Nausicaa first, followed by Mononoke, then Spirited Away, with Howl's Moving Castle a close 4th.

Love Spirited Away. Need to watch again. That and Howl's Moving Castle. Miyazaki is God damned artist.

All four of those are amazing. Spirited Away and Mononoke are my favorites by him, and they have a tendency to flip around from #1 and #2 for me. Both are in my top 20 movies though.

Great movie and is a great comparison to Alice in Wonderland, but I would still put Princess Mononoke as the best anime film out there.

Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite of the movies that I have seen. Saw Spirited Away, My Neighbor Tortoro, Arriety, KiKi's Delivery Service, and Grave of the Fireflies. Guess I need to watch Princess Monoke next.

Ponyo is my fav. It was a hard decision between that and Spirited Away.

I can't wait for Up On Poppy Hill.

I just don't buy a 5 year old love story. Kids that age are too young to understand true love. I remember when I was 5, I was very confused in the fact that my mom and dad didn't always know each other and didn't live together growing up. Miyazaki should have made the kids older, like 8 or 9.

Mean either. Looks like a spiritual successor to "Grave of the Fireflies".

I always watch the original language. I started watching Mononoke dubbed cause I d/l the wrong one and I couldn't take it. I went and got the original and it was alot different. They change a bunch of dialogue and the voice acting is almost always a step down.
