First year in a individual defensive player league... It's 10 team ppr league... Just trying to figure out rounds for selecting defensive players and what order is typically best? TIA

Since there are usually a lot of waiver wire warriors on defense, I wait until I draft all of my offensive players and back ups.

Essentially, I treat it as though it's a team defense and start picking when I have to and usually don't run with any backups.

HOWEVER...getting JJ Watt early may not be a bad idea. Dude helped the champ win our league last year.

this.

I remember some guys in my league would start to go for some stud defenders in like the 6th or 7th round when we used to do snake drafts.

fine by me...

you can field a good defense without drafting a stud defender.

it has gotten even easier since we've switched to an auction format. With so many defenders who can help you out there, you're bound to get a steal by catching the rest of the league napping. I mean it is a long arse draft and at some point guys just want to start seeing things speed up.

goto last years ranks, what was the difference in scoring between the 4th best(playoffs) vs the 10th best

if there's not much difference then it's not worth a higher pick

example: my league diff between #4 and #10 last year, then multiply by startings
RB 50 pts*2.5(flex)=125
WR 30 pts*2.5=75
QB 60 pts*1=60
TE 35 pts*1=35
DEF 30 pts*1=30
IDP 25 pts*1=25
K 9 pts*1=9

that's why people go RB,RB,WR,WR,...QB..TE..DEF..IDP..K
