Too many backpack rappers.
Chance, Earl, Tyler, Ab, Q, Gambino, the ASAPs.

Where are the guys that still hold it down for the streets?
Where is the new generation Jeezy, Game, 50, G-Unit, T.I., Ross?
Meek Mill can't bring it back to the Mainstream by himself.

you continue to show your ignorance for the history of hip hop. prior to the early 90s, there was no underground, all hip hop was underground. the reason hip hop sucks right now, is because the mainstream artists suck. the underground has always been the alternative. and really the only reason MOST people in these threads still listen to hip hop is because of the strength of the underground.

I cant help it if your opinions suck and nobody agrees with them.

I just can't see how you blame rappers like Chance, Earl, Tyler, 2 members of Black Hippy, Gambino and A$AP mob for Hip-Hop being sorry. The reason they aren't on the radio is because they don't make steaming piles of shite club music constantly.

The new mainstream guys just aren't good outside of a few guys, while the older top guys are slowing down in making music.

There is great hip hop music out there you just have to find it. Mixtapes like New Jet City and King Remembered In Time have been much more enjoyable then a lot of the albums i've listened to this year.

There has been a direct correlation in quality on this board since Phish summer tour ended. These hip hop threads are simply terrible.

Exactly.
But there aren't any new artists out now that have made good quality street music that can be played on the radio.
