I picked up one of these at bass pro last night. This one was the stainless stalker with a fluted barrel and carbon fiber stock. It felt great. I will have one soon. Anyone have one?

What caliber?

They're pretty painful to shoot in the hard kickers because they're pretty light, but I haven't found much that I don't like about them. They shoot well and look nice.

Oh alright I thought you meant you bought it.

It's a nice rifle. If you like the way it looks/feels then there's no reason to not get it. I've shot one in .308 and don't have anything bad to say about it, and nobody I know who owns/has shot one does either.

I have an xbolt medallion in 300wsm. Damn fine shooting rifle. My brother killed a hog at 550 yards off an impromptu rest with it. I then shot one from prone at about 350. The rifle puts em where they go.

Bought a Browning x bolt micro hunter for my son a few years ago in the 7mm-08. He is 17 now and 6'2" tall. Still uses it and when he is not at the camp I use it. Love the gun. Not stainless though.

No question about it, a really nice rifle . But I have to say the A bolt might have the best furniture of any gun close to the price range of the A bolt.

I have that exact model in 30-06. What was the price at bass pro? I think I paid $1100 at Puglia's for carbon fiber and stainless fluted barrel.
