Need help with a tv series or movie from the 70s

I remember watching this as a kid but it could've been from the late 60s even, just before I was born.
It was about airplanes or some military type show. I'm almost certain it was a series but it could've been a movie, I guess.
The only thing I remember is in the opening credits they showed these blue Corsair planes all in formation and one by one, they'd fly off.
I couldn't tell you the music or anything. I just remember those blue planes. Seems like there was an aircraft carrier in it too but I'm not sure. I was around 5 or 6 years old.
Ring any bells to anyone?

OMG! That's it!!
I just looked it up on youtube. I didn't remember the music but that ending part of the opening credits is the part I remember.
Wow! Well done!
Thanks!

(very) loosely based on fact. Pappy Boyington was one of the original Flying Tigers and a Medal of Honor recipient. The real Black Sheep were badass pilots, but not nearly as undisciplined as the show portrays-you can't be and survive long in combat.
