Targeting Players in Up-Tempo Schemes

Sigmund Bloom touched on this briefly on Twitter last night:

Obviously we're well aware of what New England, New Orleans and Denver will do. But Philly, Buffalo, St. Louis, Chicago, Cincy, and Kansas City may all implement more of an uptempo scheme this year.
How does this affect how you rate players? For me, I would think players in these schemes would get a slight bump due to the potential of playing in a scheme that will maximize the number of times that they touch the ball.

I mean, the rankings pretty much reflect that anyway, when you think about it. If you're asking if I would pick McCoy over Peterson, no, I wouldn't.

Well, obviously.
But I was thinking more of middle round/late round players. For me, I may be more inclined to pounce on someone in Buffalo, rather than, say, Carolina, despite the obvious discrepancy in QB talent, which is typically a barometer for choosing WRs/TEs.

I do not think it is worth the jump based on how the players in some systems are being drafted.
People are already fapping to Charles under Reid and Chip Kelly's offense. Charles is going as high as second or third in PPR, which is pretty foolish when you can get Rice or Foster.
If there is value, then it is the unhyped players on those teams. I doubt the difference is really worth it. I would QB over tempo every time.

Let's look at a team like Buffalo.
Okay, Spiller is obviously a big target.
Stevie Johnson will get some mid-round love.
But what about Marquise Goodwin?
Not utilized properly at Texas, super athletic and speedy and showed a lot of receiver skills at the Senior Bowl and through the combine circuit. Now, he's stuck playing with either Kolb or Manuel (Manuel may become a strong option, however), but he's the type of guy that could make your fantasy day in 3 catches. In this offense, there's a good chance he could see a lot of different looks, which makes him a valuable weapon. Maybe more valuable than a guy like Brandon LaFell, who will surely be drafted higher.

You mentioned STL. Brian Schoettenheimer is their new OC.

Bloom mentioned that one in his tweet, and I was a little confused by it. I haven't spent a ton of time reading up on what they want to do this year, though.

Definitely not a positive sign.

Actually he was there last year.
I have no faith in him to provide a valuable fantasy contributor. Maybe Tavon Austin by default

This. I don't understand people thinking Cook cums liquid gold this year.

Same here. I'd rather Myers.

Not wild about him either.

Lance Kendricks is a good TE. The thing is, they always needed the dude to block.
Cook is a talent. If he played w a good QB he could be a legit option

I completely agree. If people weren't so high on him, he would be my sleeper. Tried to target him last year even. He's a freak. I just think hype has snowballed.
