That's really interesting. I wonder if it's also a shift to a more well-rounded fullback role in the offense, instead of just a battering ram?

I was really hoping to see him play in the middle for us in a couple years. Seems like he had the speed to go along with his size.

wonder if that means that someone else has been improving at mlb? thought i remember Lamar Louis' name being mentioned as pushing or passing welter.

I think with Beckwith and Jones working at FB some it's pretty obvious Cam will utilize a versatile FB/H-back in the new offense. We may still have a battering ram for certain packages.

I think this makes it even more apparent Cam will open up the offense...

I may be wrong, but I think this also means that LOuis has won the starting MLB spot.

There were quotes of him being one of the best athletes on the team. I think its a great sign that we can afford to lose an athlete like that on Defense and add it to offense. I like the move and with all the depth we have at LB, I think it will pay off.

he played RB in high school, didn't he? I think it'll be a good move for him, although I would also loved to have seen him at LB.

isn't louis like 6'0 220?

It seems like the staff is gonna let Welter keep the job until he does something to lose it.

He played QB but mostly ran it when he did, but that is the case with most high schools. You put your best athlete at QB
