Anyone see this? I am thinking about buying it, but want to know how it is first.

im an idiot. the first thing that came to mind when i saw this was 24 kicking back up

It was OK. If you don't know much about Jackie Robinson, or haven't read anything on him going in, you will probably enjoy it.

Enjoyable enough sports movie. Certainly formulaic, but the guy playing Jackie does a good job, and Harrison Ford is good as the owner. If you collect sports movies, this one definitely won't be a glaringly awful addition.

I saw it, and yeah...just the fact that they felt that they had to give Jackie a deep barritone which conveys strength and courage, when in fact his voice was quite high pitched, made me think they weren't trying to portray a man's story, but an idealistic fiction. no matter the facts, when they don't bother with the details like that, it makes me feel like they're not telling the whole truth.
