Coming in from Baton Rouge, the first slow down was around LaPlace. Coming over the Spillway wasn't too bad but slower that usual moving around 40 or so. Once we got to Kenner it was all downhill from there. Basically a parking lot from Kenner all the way to the Superdome/ Poydras exit. Took 1 hour and a Half to get from Kenner to dome and 3 hours 15 minutes total. Was traffic this bad just because it was a friday afternoon work traffic and weekend vacationers? Or does anyone think it will be this bad getting to all games this season?

Traffic for normal Sunday games is a piece of cake.

Last night was just bad because of normal Friday after work traffic and people getting into the city for various events this weekend.

It's always terrible at that time.

You followed the crowd and suffered. I made a few shortcuts and it only took me about 30 minutes once I reached kenner

I was on I-10 at blue bayou at 4:30 and missed the first quarter. Took an hour to go one mile on I-10 going from Broad Street to Claiborne. I don't know NOLA that well but it was unreal.

Yep, all Friday evenings are generally a mess headed into the city. With everyone basically coming in at the same time for the Saints game it just made it much worse.

What? I left Gonzales at 4:30, went to St. Charles to get my dad, fought traffic to get into the parking garage, and still got to the suite before they stopped allowing us onto the field.
