I arrived to the brba scene almost too late, but maybe it'll be considered fashionable. Show's great, all that jazz. I'm not here to jerk it off, though.
My question is, did Walter white poison Brock? I saw the hector blowing up Gus coming, but I didn't expect the lily of the valley plant in walt's back yard at the end of the episode. I had assumed that since Gus was on the board of the hospital that he persuaded the doctors to claim it was unrelated to ricin just so he could get Jesse back in the kitchen cooking for him.
Maybe this should have been a Facebook post. Knibb high football rules.

I'd bet my house Walt poisoned the kid.

Rewatch the episode, in the scene where he is spinning his gun on the table while sitting outside and looking like he has just about lost hope...he looks at the plant and has a aha moment.

Yeah, I remembered that but I guess I just have/had hope that Walt isn't that shitty.
Yeah, he manufacturers methamphetamine and has a murder or two on his conscious, is responsible for his brolo's condition, his wife's affair, Etc, but I guess I was just eternally optimistic

The shows title is Breaking Bad. Walt's character arch is pretty much set in stone from the get go

I didn't ask the question but yeah I know I need to get on that shite

Yes, Walt poisoned Brock. It is inferred pretty heavily, but Cranston confirms it on the DVD.

Wasn't it discussed that the plant couldnt kill Brock the way ricin could? It just simulated ricin poisoning.
I don't think Walt is Shitty enough to kill a child.
Using his neighbor as bait might be the worst thing he's done imo.

one thing I have noticed about the show is that every predicament that Walt gets himself into has two options:
1) Give up and get killed or arrested.
2) Compromise himself a step further than the last predicament and do something he never thought he could ever be capable of, but he moves on.

Later, Jesse tells Walter that Brock will live, and that he was poisoned by the berries of the Lily of the Valley plant, since children sometimes eat it because of its sweet taste. Although Jesse questions killing Gus because he never poisoned anyone after all, Walter assures Jesse that it had to be done. Walter calls Skyler (Anna Gunn), who is learning of the explosion from the news, along with the rest of the family; Walt tells her everything is safe, and that he "won". The episode ends with a shot of Walter's back yard showing a potted Lily of the Valley plant towards which Walter's gun was pointed in the previous episode.
1. Walt did give the shite to Brock
2. Walt knew it wouldn't kill him.

Ricin is maybe the most potent poison in the world.
