If we signed ONLY Louisiana Talent, would it be enough to be a top ten class? I think it would, with slight LSU bumps (like Spears last year), or very close.

CRob, LF, Dupre, Noil, Harris, Quinn, Clapp, Brumfield that and sprinkle the rest should get top 3. Ole Miss had 3 studs last year and made top 5.

Yeah, I forgot some. I guess there is just too much talent in LA for my mind to grasp.

Which LA prospects would take the places of Brown, Hardeman, Voorhies, Garrett, Paris and Clark?
I would think we offer Roberts, McGraw, Alexander...not sure who else.

And if Clifton wasn't so high on us, Kenny Young would probably be a no doubter to join the class.

Louisiana routinely puts out more than enough talent to rate Top 10 recruiting classes. The problem is that the population of the state is small, and the distribution of talent doesn't often fill out an entire roster. Too often the talent is clustered among RB, DB, WR and DL, and the talent is scarce on the OL, LB and QB. As such, it will always be necessary to look out of state for players at positions Louisiana has shortages.

According to 24/7, out of their top 247, LA has:

#1 Cameron Robinson
#2 Leonard Fournette
#13 Speedy Noil
#32 Hootie Jones
#36 Malachi Dupre
#58 Gerald Willis
#89 Cameron Sims
#99 Brandon Harris
#108 Garrett Brumfield
#128 Trey Quinn
#150 Davon Godchaux
#198 Garrald McDowell
#221 Will Clapp
#232 Kenny Young

That's 14 guys, 11 in the top 150 and 8 in the top 100. That would still likely be the top class in the nation

I think so. Especially with the composite rankings. There are 5 guys that are composite 5* and 12 4* guys. Then you have the Donnie Alexanders, Sione Paleleis, DJ Charks out there.

ETA: Are you assuming we lock down every LA prospect we offer?

All of the Louisiana prospects would equal a top 3 class with 6 possible 5 stars. Add Quille and its the #1 class.

If you are listing Louisiana recruits, would DWilliams, also, be on the list? How would you handle EParis (Loaned to Texas a few years) with such great Louisiana heritage and loyalty?

Louisiana is absolutely loaded with talent!

Yeah, if we only went after LA kids...And if so, how rare is it that we could fill a class with only LA kids and be ranked so high?

In that case, we'd absolutely reel in a top 10 class, if not Top 5.

It's an incredibly special year.

so are other universities limited to only their state as well? If so, you'd prolly have
1.TEXAS
2.FLORIDA
3. LSU
4. USC

that is if the other universities had to divide their talent in state.

Think Georgia would have to be up there, maybe ahead of Florida or Texas because of the lack of competition in the State.

It would easily be enough talent, but the out of staters like Paris, Voorheis, Upchurch, Battle and hopefully in the future, Brown, should help make LSU's class right up there for the top group.

I'd say closer to 35. But regardless, that's more than one team can take.
