I hear you but I think the main concern is they appear to be getting worse. They look like a relegation team and are damn close (2 points) to it.
Also I say frick the FA and Europa and rest everyone for league matches. Avoiding the drop should be priority #1

The entire bottom half is near relegation.

I can see resting people against Napoli but they should try for FA.
never heard of Gary Monk is he good? Swansea had great managers in the past both Brendan Rogers and Roberto Martinez

This is Monk who until he handed the armband to Williams last year was officially still the captain. Pretty sure he's just been hanging around in more of a coaching role lately and this is his first gig.
