the suspension would be the remainder of 2013 and all of 2014. If he chooses to appeal or refuse it could then lead to a lifetime ban

For him, being out all 2013 and 2014 would be pretty similar to a lifetime ban save the money the Yankess will still have to pay him for the terrible contract they agreed to.

Also, I don't find it to be much of a threat because I doubt a lifetime ban will be upheld even if they attempt it.

How can they justify suspending him for 2014 but not Braun?

I guess lifetime ban would mean no HoF for him, but he's not getting in anymore anyway

I think they're pissed because he lied and tried to cover up, whereas Braun happily took his buttfrick (this time, not two years ago).

OK, they were pissed Braun taunted them after the last one, but yahoo or somebody had a whole thing about how they are treating A-Rod's case as like two or three violations in one.

I am not a fan of ARod at all but I don't want the Yankees to get an easy out of paying his outrageous contract.

Yankees be dumb up.

Who concocts these absolutely abysmal contracts such as A-Rods and the Angels with Pujols? How can they even remotely seem like a good return on the investment?

Give me that front office job.

Well if suspended he would forfeit remaining salary this year and all of next year so Yankees in essence will find some savings.

What evidence do they have on ARod that they didnt have on Braun? or what is different about the two cases?

Yes, but aren't the Yanks on the hook through 2017? Still a lot of wasted money for those years.

I agree, but be prepared for it... they're probably gonna save a boatload of money.
