Been watching their show and can't help but notice that they shoot a lot of blackjacks and smilies. For the $ they charge I would diff be wanting to shoot good ducks.

The place is beautiful. But I've never had the privilege or funds to hunt it. I could probably afford a lease for what they charge.

I'd be fuming if I killed shite ducks on a hunt like that. While I understand some days are better than other and guides can only do so much I would not want to pay full price for blackjacks spoonies or redheads

I hunted it before it was honey break. They do have some jam up spots, but for some reason they never show those hunts on TV.

Yea we hunt in that area and have talk to Jarod the head guide on a couple of occasions. I have seen pics of some awesome hunt.

I would be pissed if I paid the $ they charge and they brought me to a public lake to hunt.

My neighbor had a blind on Delta that is now HB. They do have some great property, but l'll be damned if I'd pay that kind of money to hunt a public lake like Catahoula at HB prices.

Quick hijack...but speaking of high dollar duck hunting CHECK OUT THIS PLACE

$1.9M for 280 acres?

Now, I know that a good green timber hunt in and around Stuttgart costs about double a normal rice field hunt, so there is the potential for a ROI, but 1.9M?????

Yea I saw when where the client asked about that with a WTF look, had to explain that it was a public lake and things tend to walk off.

You are paying more for the "experience" and less for the killing. Hence the name of the show.

Yup, and it can be phenomenal, and some areas are very consistent, but like most places have off days too. Ask bossflossjr.

The Catahoula hunt is an experience a lot of people want.

I don't know for sure, but would guess some of those blinds are easier to video from, even if they aren't the hottest blind, that's that's where they film.

Jay's right with the "experience" thing. The food, the lodging, the scenery are excellent.

I have a camp by their lodge. My neighbor hunted on the farm last year and I killed more bird than him most days. One guide is from my area and says the Catahoula spots are more consistent.
