Telling my parents they will be grandparents tomorrow

This will be their first grandchild.

My wife and I are hosting a big party tomorrow at our home with family and friends to celebrate our recent marriage. Quick, yea I know! What can I say, my boys can swim. We got married earlier this summer during a destination wedding; this is the reception/party for all those who couldn't make it.

So far, we wrapped a jar of prego sauce with a positive pregnancy test. We plan on giving it to them before the party starts so that they know before we tell everyone else. My mom is basically the real life version of Marie Barrone from Everybody Loves Raymond, so hopefully its simple enough for her to figure it out.

We still can't decide how to tell our guest during the party.

I humble come to the OT for last minute suggestions.

ETA: Correct spelling of the fricking sauce

Have you thought of a nick name for him/her on the OT yet?

you can have my wife's idea.

Take a 2 group pictures.

First one have everyone say cheese per normal protocol.

Second picture have them say " "insert wifes name" is pregnant!" or "its a boy/girl" if you know the gender already, instead of cheese.

Its cool because if you do it right you get everyone's first reactions with the second picture.

edit: Congrats bro! My wife and I just decided to start trying this week. Hopefully we will be making a similar announcement soon.

I told my parents my wife was pregnant. When the first ultrasound was done we saw that it was twins. I recorded my in laws and parents reaction when they saw the ultrasound. It was priceless when they saw the second child.

Bend your wife over at the party and go to town on her. When you're about to finish, yell out "guess I don't have to pull out, not like you can get more pregnant!"

Boom.

We thought about doing this one, read about it on Pinterest. Parents are older and likely would have a delayed reaction, too many family and friends to fit on one picture.
