quote:

Ready for some drama? Dr. Michael Gross, head of sports medicine at Hackensack and the doctor behind A-Rod‘s second opinion, just said during an interview with Mike Francesa on WFAN that Rodriguez is not injured. Gross said that A-Rod has no pain and also noted that A-Rod thinks he could play tonight if the Yanks so choose. Gross performed an MRI earlier and had authority from Rodriguez to discuss the results on the air. “To be perfectly honest, I don’t see any injury there,” Gross said while acknowledging that a slight Grade 1 strain may not appear on an MRI.
The Yanks haven’t said anything yet, but they can’t be pleased. The team cut A-Rod’s rehab short this weekend when a quad injury occurred, but many reports, based on anonymous sources, described A-Rod’s unhappiness with the decision. Now, with Gross’ public comments, A-Rod is forcing the issue. If he could play right now and the team is holding him back over the looming Biogenesis suspension, I think he’s completely in the right for allowing his doctor to speak publicly on the FAN. I’m sure we’ll hear more over the next few hours.

Here's to hoping he is suspended for life!

IMO Yankees are trying to delay his return, waiting for the suspension to be handed down, so insurance will pick up the tab & they won't have to deal with the headache.

I don't. He cheated like everyone else. Just because he's ARod doesn't mean he should get banned for life.

*shrug*

I've always referred to Rodriguez as A-Hole, rather than A-Rod, anyway.

I don't want him banned for life. However, he's pretty old as far as Major Leaguers go, so I'm not sure how much he'll have left after he serves his lengthy suspension.

IMO the Yankees should have to pay his salary for entering into an agreement with a total douchebag... they don't deserve a got outta jail free card for wreckless behavior.

Can't stand A-Rod and would be happy for him to be out of baseball, but I prefer the Yanks be saddled with him and his contract rather than get a reprieve from MLB.

If he is able to play one game, doesn't even have to get into the game, just be able to play = $114 million.

I'm guessing Rodriguez gave the green light for this info to be released.

Are you allowed to talk about someone's medical issues like this? I feel like that would somehow be illegal.

Edit: I guess it's ok with arods permission

It clearly says above that he got permission to discuss the results.
