Tame Impala & The National in Dallas

at the Southside Ballroom, anyone going?
Just picked up two tickets - about $50 apiece.
The only problem is it's on Saturday October 12th - the same day as LSU Florida in Baton Rouge, but I really want to see both these guys...

I just looked up the South side Ballroom. Anyone ever been? I go to concerts pretty regularly in Dallas but I've never been there.

Looking forward to the trip to Dallas. Just found out it is also UT - OU weekend, so maybe that's why all the hotels are 250+. Or maybe that's just Dallas.
Who ya more pumped to see? I'm ready for Tame Impala but the woman loves The National.

That sucks. I usually stay close the the house that weekend. Guess I'll have to wade through the red and orange.
So I guess the LSU game is at the same time as the Texas-OU game? Most places will have that on. Dodie's on Lower Greenville....the new Dodie's, not the original Dodie's on Lowest Greenville....will probably have the LSU game on.......ah...it's called Dodies Reef.... LINK

I just YouTube'd Tame Impala. What genre would they be considered? Never heard anything like it.
Not sure where to put them, but they are the only new band I've heard of in awhile that have really caught my ear. Psych rock new age from Australia. I've also heard Magical Mystery Tourish for the 2000s. His voice is pretty high from the live youtubes I've seen.

southside is pretty decent...friend of mine is a manager there and does a good job you will be glad you went
