What are your interests and what do you love to do that could be a business? Start there.

Sporting goods and a pawn shop have been on my mind for years but the market is saturated with both.

likes to do, say eat, drink, smoke and breed. Mobile home repair might be another option.

You are welcome.

I don't know why you think payday loans and pawn shops are saturated. I think any one you open will thrive. I cash checks at 2 of my 4 stores and you'd be stunned how many people could care less that walmart is $3 and I charge a heft % ......poor people like convenience, they're not going out of their way to cash a check.

Just make it a nice pawn shop and they will come, most are nasty, make it a cool place to be and they will flock to you

just beat other pawn shops rates, one of my employees showed me a ticket for a $60 loan at 20%/week.....charge 15% you'll still profit...

I know there are some folks here who have objections to these but I would consider this or a small consumer finance company

I don't know anything about payday loans but there are at least 8 pawn shops in W. Monroe.

that's bc they all make money....undercut them on the rate....poor people will leave....20% a week is insane....12%/week and you'd own the market

you also buy everything for like 15 cents on the dollar and flip it on ebay for full retail....its a crazy business, you just have to deal with shitty people

I understand the business I've been dealing with them for many years. Bought several guns in them. They will always deal with you because they have so little in the item they are selling.

Offshore Trash, I have garages at a few of my gas stations, I have a car dealers license, I buy cars from manheim and copart online and if repairs are needed I handle it in house and sell them, easy $500-$1000 per car. It takes a little work, but you get a pre-sale list before the auctions and you can look at past sales and kinda get a good idea for what the going rate is, then you can look on Ebay and see what a good price is as well.

With $60K you can literally buy 6 good $10k cars and keep them at home and sell them or you can buy 10-12 cheaper cars, which actually sell faster. It's odd but the $10K+ ones usually require financing which I offer at a steep rate but you could buy and flip vehicles easily with a car dealer's license.

I have maybe 15 cars at any time with a total value of under $125K and I make a pretty nice return on that money monthly with even just 2-3 sales. Sometimes I sell 10 in a month, especially when tax refund checks come around....poor people love switching crappy cars, I'm blown away at some of them, I have one guy whose switched sub $7k cars 4 times this year, he's paid tax and title on all of them, hence why he is poor
