Will Gene Hackman ever act again?

He retired 10 years or so ago, thought for sure we'd see him in something. But he has stayed out of the limelight. I sure miss him. Loved him The royal tannenbaums, Unforgiven, & Mississippi Burning, etc. Trivia: His last acting credit on IMDB?.......

He's in pretty bad health isn't he?

eta, he's 83, so doubt he has much motivation to work again...

Once you've hit perfection like The Replacements it's hard to get motivated to do another film

I don't think his health is an issue. He voluntarily retired, and apparently has no desire to return to acting.

I read about an upcoming movie where the director really wanted Hackman for one of the lead roles, but he turned him down.

I believe he's written a couple of books in recent years, and he's probably still doing Lowe's commercials.
