Garnett, Pierce, AK47, Johnson, and DWill in crunch time. That's solid.

ETA: They picked a bad time to break in a rookie head coach.

Jay Z and the Russian got back door deals, paying the players 10 mil under the table to accept these offers. I'll be so happy if the nets beat the heat next season.

ETA - Jay Z shoulda kept his stock in the team...

Look what I found:

quote:

The Wolves were interested in a combination of assets from the Spurs in exchange for Kirilenko, but were unable to take back the $8 million to $9 million in necessary salaries to make a deal work.

So he was trying to get $8 million to $9 million from the defending western conference champions in a sign & trade, yet he signs with Nets for the mini MLE...

Hmm...

When did New York area NBA teams decide to go all in on retirement home rosters?

So he left an f'ing ton of money in Minnesota in order to play for New Jersey. Bizarre.

The Nets' payroll, including luxury tax, is currently $187 million. It's going to be funny when they still don't win a title.
