well since ticket master is usually face value unless its a ticket exchange why look elsewhere

Depends where the concert is. If its a big place, they probably have a contract with ticketmaster and you'll have to buy from them, stubhub, craigslist or ebay. A lot of smaller clubs use ticketweb or some other online ticket seller.
