That doesn't answer the question.

How does it not?
It's a controller light, not all games will use it so they can turn it off.
It's not like it's the Kinect and always has to be on watching you.

You say controller light like it's some common thing. What does it even do?
And the developer decides if they want to use it, not the player. That's lame as frick.

It's for the PS Eye for motion controls. (The moves top = the light on the controller now)
It also displays battery charge and health in games as well as muzzle flash.
Killzone is using it as a health bar, when your health gets below I think they said 30%, it starts blinking red.
Nothing special or crazy, just mainly for the eye.
Watch the video your OP is showing in the pics, it's actually a cool video about the new features inside the DS4 not just the light but the new rumble pad features and other stuff.

Just watched it, I noticed the blue glare was on the screen no matter how he held the controller. Sorry that you have a plasma, maybe they'll give you the option to turn the light off.

I sit far away so it won't matter, those guys are 4 feet from the TV which is why it glares anyways.
It will have an option to dim it like you do with an LED clock if you're not using the eye.
So fricking pumped though god the controller is sick as shite finally.

They are a lot more than 4 feet away.

You think? When it zooms in on the TV they look really close to it.
Like I said, it'll have a dimming option in the menus and devs that don't use it can turn it off.
No biggie.

I don't think you understand. When I sit back to play and the controller is in my lap it's at about a 30-40 degree angle so it very well would hit my TV. The guy in the OP only has it at about 20 degrees and it's all over his TV.
I would think I am not the only to sit back and play with a controller angled this way.
Obviously Sony is not going to allow you to sit back and relax and play games. You must be sitting straight upright and point your controller to the floor.

It's how you would hold the controller in your hand sitting down genius.
Not everyone holds a controller the same you fricktard

When I sit and play, I don't lean back. I kind of lean forward with my elbows on my knees, kind of like a baseball player in a dugout would sit. So, you're right, not everyone holds it the same.
Who knows, maybe this is something that they'll catch before it hits shelves.

The universe wants us to play games together. It's obvious.

Exactly. I sit back on the couch. Sometimes the controller is in my lap. Sometime it is near my chest. Sometimes, I have one arm resting on the arm of the sofa, holding it cockeyed.
