I can post them for you tonight, or go to teambuilder. LSU got shafted. The fastest player on the team has 93 speed.

EA almost always underrates and overrates, but LSU does come off in the short end of the stick too often.

That is just too stupid.

right, how many break away runs did Jeremy Hill have last year and he is the slowest RB on the team?! Also it just seems ike the ultra quick Odell Beckham is just too slow for what he should be....

My favorite thing to do in the game after I get all the names is adjust the ratings to how I see fit and give all the players the correct equipment that they wear in real life.

I'm tempted to think they base ratings off of hype and comparisons as opposed to real data and stats.

Johnny football is faster then Odell....:hell no

I agree Jae, instead of actually researching 40 times and watching real college football games they just look at athlon magazine and watch college football live and make analysis

Very much.

Just cool to play the game and it looks like it does in real life. Not having the QB run around with a kicker facemask or a WR with a lineman facemask.

Its very time consuming. Especially at the college level.

When I worked for a development studio for a next gen console sports game, we contracted a scouting agency to use a proprietary quantifiable rating system, that they developed in house, to give us their impression of who should be rated what.

Granted, we could tweak who we thought should be rated differently, but for example - EA would more than likely overrate Manziel on the fly because of his hype while leaving a guy like Jeremy Hill to rot because you'd imagine most of the design team who teak this material would likely know more about Manziel, Gillislee, Clowney etc than Jeremy Hill.

The fault most likely lies in the hands of the agency tasked with quantifying objective ratings than in the hands of EA. Especially when they know their customers have such of a long history of simply adjusting what they want and communities of custom rosters exist in such a prevalent fashion.
Gamers are essentially doing the work for EA for free in that sense.
