Would be funny if patent trolls were a roadblock to bitcoin's development

Of those issues listen, patent trolls would be the least of my concern.

Even if a claim was made and even if the state attempted to enforce it, it still would not stop bitcoin.

Funny that they completely ignore any potential problems of compliance with governmental regulations, or attempts at regulation. The proclivity of criminals to use Bitcoins for their activities is not mentioned either. Investing in a commodity frequently used for criminal enterprises could get you unwanted attention from law enforcement agencies.

People using the U.S. dollar for criminal activities are constantly being investigated which proves Poodle's point and makes you look silly.

There are laws with the specific purpose of making use of the U.S. dollar in criminal enterprises more difficult. What is to prevent similar laws with respect to Bitcoins? And couldn't such laws have a negative impact on Bitcoins as investments? The purpose of the article linked in the OP was to point out risks associated with Bitcoin investments identified by the Winklvosses in their S-1 filing. And laws that COULD reduce the demand for Bitcoins would have a detrimental impact on Bitcoin prices which would not be good for investors, especially given the price volatility acknowledged by the Winklevoss brothers.

The same regulations that make the dollar safer, will be implemented on Bitcoin, hence taking away all of the "selling points"

Yeah, we've been over this, it ain't gonna happen. Not gonna get approved. These guys are a couple of assholes who are desperate for attention, I wouldn't buy anything they are involved in.
