Top skills among NBA free agents
Top bench scorer candidates
1. Tyreke Evans
With a crowded backcourt, the New Orleans Pelicans reportedly handed a four-year, $44 million offer sheet to Evans, presumably to come off the bench. That might be the right idea for a talented tweener who posted an identical true shooting percentage to Clippers supersub Jamal Crawford last season (55.8 percent). We'll see if his improved 3-point shot (33.8 percent last season versus 25.5 percent prior) was a fluke.

Nice, I'm really warning up to the idea of him coming off the bench in a immediate sub type role.

I think because of his unique skill set, thats the best option for him... between the 1-3, he can be on the floor for 30+ minutes
Gives Monty rotation options that hes never had as a head coach

ESPN IS AWFUL AND IS THE DOWNFALL OF MODERN SPORTS!!!
(Until they say something good about your team, in which case they're awesome!)

And some of us were doubting Monty and Dell... I like the idea since he will be playing 30 mins anyway. I just hope we do not have to dump Lopez. Hope we can trade for him to get something out of him.

You know how it goes, man. They're bad until they say something good.

Duh... It works the same way with any site.

I think the best role for Evans is to come off the bench. He can still get 30+ minutes.

I love how you just literally can read like <2% of the ESPN website now without paying them money

If we can make a move involving GV that lands us a suitable replacement for Lopez I'm totally down for a lineup of:
Jrue/AR/TE/BR
EG/TE/AR
Aminu?/TE
AD/Ryno

Good to see this 'Evans as a sixth man' propaganda is filtering around. Other teams now think the Pels actually plan to keep Gordon thus his trade value goes up.

Does this have any effect on Anderson's minutes?
Or will they run a lot of small ball with Davis at C/Anderson at PF?

IDK how many games the Pels will win next year but watching the highlights of JRue, Evans (if?) and Jackson (if he makes team), they might be the most featured team on SC top 10 each night. Serious ups and quickness on that lineup/bench...

We aren't paying Evans 11 millions a year to be a 6th man

eta: not saying he's on manu's level but manu made 14 mil last year and he comes off the bench

Manu made bank as just that and I'm sure OKC would kill to take their trade back and have Harden making bank as a 6th man. Designation doesn't really matter as long as he gets minutes. ATL made a good point about 6th men usually sitting behind role players, not guys like Gordon, but since he's versatile enough to play 3 positions he shouldn't struggle to get time.
