Anyway to kill that pasture smell?

So I had a little inflatable pool se up for a few days in the back yard for the babies. Had no idea it would kill the grass so sees and so fast. Anyway to kill the organic stench emanating from this dead patch?
My lot was pasture 17 years ago so there's lots of organic matter sub-strata.

Throw down some rye grass. Smell will go away as soon as it comes up.

After it dries it shouldn't be a problem.

It's getting better but taking its sweet arse time. Smells like Deep marsh mud.
