Lincecum, Lynn, Locke, Benoit can all be had if anybody is looking for pitching help

Top 10 MLB pitchers by 'stuff'
quote:
2. Jose Fernandez, Miami Marlins
"Stuff" projection: 8.7 K/9, 44 percent ground balls, 3.1 percent popups, 3.52 ERA
Fernandez's stuff was simply too good to keep in the minors, as he was pushed into the Marlins' rotation before he ever threw a pitch in the high minors. In terms of their pitches, the next pitcher on our list, Stephen Strasburg, provides a reasonable comp for Fernandez. Strasburg has similar fastball velocity, a curveball as his primary off-speed pitch and a changeup and a sinker to fill out his repertoire. Against right-handed batters, Fernandez uses his fastball and curveball almost exclusively, whereas Strasburg shows righties all four pitches.
quote:
7. Shelby Miller, St. Louis Cardinals:
"Stuff" projection: 7.8 K/9, 43 percent ground balls, 3.9 percent popups, 3.74 ERA
Miller has aggressively attacked the strike zone this year and it has worked -- getting him ahead in the count and drawing plenty of contact, while racking up strikeouts. He's relied quite heavily on a 94 mph four-seam fastball that batters have missed on 25 percent of their swings. His primary off-speed pitch is a hard, sweeping curveball. His ability to thrive with little diversity in his offerings provides some hope for Reds rookie Tony Cingrani, who relies even more heavily on his fastball.
